You can then separate the top trim from the Mach 1 pieces. The clips slide out of the shiny trim pieces fairly easily. Be careful not to loose any of these clips. They aren't reproduced.

You can start with either top or bottom clips, just make sure to get the 2 sets of clips.. You will need to remove atleast 2 trim screws in the wheel wells.. Putting back on you would put the bottom clips on the car 1st, slide the panel into the clips then secure with the top clips..

It's really easy, actually. If you have front mud flaps, remove the mud flaps. On the front of the side sill is one phillips screw. Remove it. Then simply slide the whole side sill forward to release the 12 clips holding it on.
Start by placing the moulding in to its proper location on the rocker and start the top edge of the moulding over the clips and then snap the bottom edge over the bottom of the clips. Like 76 camaro car 1 said,if you take the two screws out you should be able to pry the moulding off the inner piece. That inner piece should be screwed to the rocker,and the moulding is snapped over it. Try gently prying from the bottom on one end. Just be careful you don't deform it.
The trim on a 67 is held on at the top by small clips that are attached with sheet metal screws. The only purpose I have ever been able to decipher for the extra oval holes was to help vent the rocker and/or to allow some air to pass between the rocker panel and the rocker molding to help prevent corrosion.
There's a nut at the front that goes into the fender well. Remove that and then pry up on the bottom edge of the molding to pop it off the clips.
